Growing up in the tool and die environment of Top Tool and Die, a family owned business in Detroit, made early exposure to machining a given. With this background, developing wood turning skills was an early transition. With training and practice, wood turning became a serious hobby.

I began making batons for my own use. It then evolved into providing batons for students and colleagues.
My batons are now available in many midwest music stores.

Retirement has offered me the opportunity to devote more time to wood turning.
Now, through this web site, I am making my “one-of-a-kind’ batons available to you.
All batons are handcrafted from the finest domestic hardwoods with fiberglass sticks.

Please select from the following options when ordering:
1. Baton length (end of handle to tip): 14, 15, 16 inches
2. Wood: Maple, Cherry, or Walnut
3. Shape: Tear drop or Shoulder style
